How long has an original xbox console lasted? How long before the laser on the inside dies? How long before the screen flickers and then eventually goes black? How long before the console simply cannot read disks anymore? Is it that the less you move the console the better? Does the retroactive playability of the xbox original games (list still a work in progress) on the xbox 360 play and feel as if it were on the orginal xbox console. What I really want to know is if my xbox will last forever.

First off don't listen to the first post. and second. yes, that is how bungie finds modders and such. as for you tracking your xbox. i dont know. but you could try to contact bungie or microsoft and ask them to track it for you, if you give them your gamertag then they may be able to track and see what ip address it was registerd to.

Why are my downloaded Rock Band songs not working when i switch my hard drive to a different Xbox 360 console?
i brought my hard drive over to my friends house to play my downloaded songs on his xbox 360 console and when we tried to play a downloaded song it would not work, any explanation?
The songs are not linked to your hard drive, they are linked to your Xbox Live account. Make sure you login to your same Xbox Live account on your new console with the hard drive on it and your songs will be available to you.
